In my author visits, I bring Chicken Chores to life through storytelling, vivid photos and video snippets, and interactive elements that captivate young audiences. Drawing from my experience as an elementary school librarian, I guide children through the creative writing journey—showing how an idea transforms from imagination to a real, tangible creation. My goal is to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of stories in every young reader I meet!
The Basics
Presentations
Sessions are tailored to engage the ages of the students in attendance and fit within the scheduling needs of the campus. Usually 2-3 grade levels are combined in a large auditorium-style assembly in the cafeteria or library.
Small Groups
I absolutely love meeting with a couple of small groups of students for author meet & greet or book signings.
Pre-Signed Books
I generally send home student book order forms in advance so families have the option to order personalized copies.
In Person Author Visit Fees *
Pricing starts at $600 for a ½ day visit (2 presentations) and increases as additional presentations, small group meet and greets, classroom visits, signings with photos, lunch with the author, etc. are added in. A full day of presentations, small groups, signings, and special events caps out at $1500.00
Travel Fees are included for schools in the Bulverde, Spring Branch, New Braunfels, San Antonio, and surrounding areas.
Includes 2 complimentary copies of Chicken Chores, as well as a PDF of TEKS based discussion questions.
Virtual Author Visit Fees
$250 for each 40 minute presentation (includes Q&A).
$800 for up to 4 presentations and 1 small group meet and greet.
